Network Engineer (Web3) at Spectrum Search

We are working with an innovative organisation in the blockchain space that is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support and enhance their validator infrastructure. In this role, you'll play a hands-on part in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of a distributed blockchain network. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and core contributors to plan network updates, manage associated tools and environments, and drive key infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development and implementation of network updates to maintain performance and stability across a distributed validator network.
• Build and maintain testing environments to ensure seamless deployment of network upgrades and related components.
• Design and execute tests to evaluate the health and performance of the network.
• Maintain and update various components connected to the core network (including libraries, command-line tools, etc.).
• Communicate changes and updates effectively to internal teams, providing clear documentation and migration strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve network performance and contribute to achieving technical KPIs.

What We're Looking For:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Go (Golang).
• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Solidity, Python, or Typescript.
• Solid grasp of networking principles and communication protocols.
• Experience with modern testing methodologies and best practices.
• Basic familiarity with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) concepts.
• Understanding of blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and the ability to interpret blockchain explorer data or write scripts to monitor network activity.
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering or infrastructure development roles.
