CEO (Web3 Foundation) at Spectrum Search

We are seeking an experienced and visionary CEO to lead the strategic growth of a major Layer 2 blockchain ecosystem. This platform enables fast, cost-efficient transactions while retaining the security and decentralisation benefits of Ethereum, and already hosts hundreds of decentralised applications with significant total value locked.

This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping the foundation’s future, building strong partnerships across the Web3 space, and driving awareness in both blockchain-native and traditional technology circles. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation and the broader ecosystem to identify and seize growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mission:Drive ecosystem expansion and business development, identifying untapped growth opportunities.
• Public representation:Act as a prominent spokesperson at conferences, panels, and events, engaging with leading figures in blockchain and related industries.
• Strategic direction:Develop and implement the foundation’s ecosystem strategy in collaboration with the board and internal leadership.
• Partnership building:Establish and maintain relationships with developers, key stakeholders, and enterprise partners exploring blockchain adoption.
• Cross-functional collaboration:Work closely with teams across marketing, product, and operations to deliver on strategic initiatives.
• Ecosystem engagement:Recognise and promote community contributions, and foster deeper engagement within the ecosystem.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years’ experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or senior leadership within blockchain, Web3, or technology sectors.
• Proven track record as a visible figure in the Web3/blockchain community, representing organisations at high-profile industry events.
• Strong strategic planning skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives that drive measurable ecosystem growth.
• Established network of relationships across Web3, including VCs, leading projects, and influential community members.
• Deep understanding of the blockchain space and crypto-native culture.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
