Finance Office – Client Service Specialist
(Full-time, 1 year contract)- Vacancy: 2627-019
Join a school community where service, relationships and excellence matter
At the International School of Luxembourg, we believe that every interaction helps shape a family's experience of our school. Behind every invoice, payment plan, and account update is an opportunity to build trust, provide clarity, and support our vibrant international community.
We are looking for a Client Service Specialist who combines strong financial and administrative skills with empathy, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping others. This is more than a billing role — it's an opportunity to become a trusted point of contact for families and colleagues while contributing to the smooth and effective operation of a dynamic international school.
What about the Role?
As a Client Service Specialist, you will play an important role in supporting families throughout their journey at ISL. You'll manage invoicing and collections processes, help resolve account-related questions, and ensure financial information is accurate and well organized. You'll work closely with colleagues across Admissions, School Offices, Activities, and Facilities, helping ensure that operational and financial processes work seamlessly together.
We're looking for someone who enjoys balancing detail-oriented work with meaningful human interaction — someone who can communicate clearly, solve problems thoughtfully, and bring a positive, service-oriented mindset to the Business and Finance team.
What would you do?

- Serve as a key contact for families, corporate sponsors, and partners regarding tuition and billing matters
- Respond to inquiries about invoices, payments, refunds, and account balances with clarity and empathy
- Help create a positive and supportive experience for families navigating financial processes
Manage invoicing and accounts receivable
- Oversee invoicing for tuition, school activities, cafeteria services, trips, events, and facility rentals
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts professionally and proactively
- Support payment arrangements and collections processes while maintaining strong client relationships
Ensure accuracy and operational excellence
- Maintain accurate financial records and data across systems
- Generate reports and support KPI tracking related to collections and accounts receivable
- Help improve workflows, systems, templates, and communication processes
Collaborate across the school community
- Work closely with Admissions and other departments to support student onboarding and transitions
- Coordinate account setup and financial offboarding processes
- Contribute to a collaborative, solution-focused Business Office culture
Support a safe and responsible environment
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- Follow school policies related to confidentiality, safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection
Why Join ISL?
- Be part of a welcoming and internationally minded community
- Work in an environment that values collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to a mission-driven organization focused on supporting students and families
- Bring your ideas, initiative, and expertise to a team that values your contribution
