Embedded Software Engineer

Knowing all customers are not the same, ACT provide customer specific solution within a short reaction time to solve the most difficult of challenges faced by our customer.

Role Summary/Purpose:

Graduated from a university in computer science or equivalent with a passion for firmware development, you will have the opportunity to thrive in a friendly non-corporate environment where you are leading your own projects and significantly contributing to the future of the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Involved in new design projects as well as support to existing production and other areas of the Entreprise.
• Develop new products or improvements / modifications to existing products, including product concept, design documentation, as well as testing of the design.
• Manage resolution of technical issues including root cause analysis.
• Maintains high standard professionalism in attitudes and communication with fellow employees and customers.
• Demonstrated initiative, drive, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Works hand in hand with the Product Design team and Mechanical Engineering team.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of C/C++.
• Knowledge of debug and test methods.
• Familiarity with communication protocols like I2C, UART, SPI.
• Fluency in English.
• Working knowledge with MS Office.

Optional:

• Proficiency with any RTOS
• Experience with revision control systems.
• Basic skills in Electronics.

Candidate profile:

• European Union Passport Holder.
• Ability to problem solve (identifying issues and being proactive in proposal of solutions), good planning and organization (setting priorities and goals, and analysing them for future improvement), teamwork and customer focus (cooperating and working within a team towards customer satisfaction by communicating clearly and maintaining good relationships).
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work within a team environment.
