About the Role:

For our Ferrero HQ in Luxembourg, we are currently looking for an intern to join our Agri Competence Center team inside the Hazelnut Company function.

By covering this position, you will analyze different types of hazelnut data worldwide to establish an effective monitoring system and provide valuable information for the company in terms of production, quality, and sustainability.

Main Responsibilities:

With regards to Data Science, your role will be to develop interactive data visualization process for geospatial data related to the agribusiness and develop processing chains to automatically convert satellite data into business intelligence relevant to the agribusiness.
You will also implement complete pipelines from Application Programming Interface (API) calls to business reporting and enhance existing and implement new machine learning-based models.
On top of this, you will set methods to assess land suitability for hazelnut cultivation.

Moreover, you will analyze, with the Agri Competence Center team, strategies and solutions to provide a better understanding of the data related to hazelnut cultivation around the world.
You will as well monitor the progress of the assigned research projects and evaluate results of studies and scientific projects to propose new advancements related to data science.

Finally, you will be led to communicate results to both technical and non-technical business stakeholders.

Who we are looking for:

You will bring your educational background in Data Science, Environmental Sciences, Agronomy or other related fields withexperience in operational forecasting activities and knowledge of dashboards.

Team player, you are showing a detail-oriented and problem-solving mindset with excellent analytical skills.
You are also familiar with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Remote Sensing.

On top of that, you will bring your knowledge of Microsoft Office & programming and scripting languages such as R, Python, Matlab and SQL.

Finally, you are fluent in English.
