Your area of work:

As a Tax Support Officer, you will act as the point of contact for our customers on all queries relating to tax services. Joining a dynamic, international team of dedicated and experienced people, you will be responsible for providing prompt and accurate tax guidance on all our tax services, regimes and practices to assist Clearstream customers on all withholding tax matters related to income payments. Following international market practices and working in collaboration with withholding agents, various tax authorities and operational teams, your role will also be to ensure that customers receive the proper answer in due time. You will provide ongoing support and information to our clients via email and telephone.


Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure operations excellence and be customer focused.

  • Provide support to Clearstream clients on the day-to-day use of Clearstream Banking’s tax products and tax services.

  • Investigate, monitor and resolve any queries/issues raised by the client.

  • Record all client queries via our bespoke CRM tool.

  • Build internal and external relationships with other departments i.e. operations, customer services, relationship management throughout the company and with Clearstream customers.

  • Provide quality customer care, being thoroughly committed to every question and issue our clients may face with their tax certification process and/or reclaims.

  • Comply with the effective KYC, control and internal procedures.

  • Escalate and report issues to Management.


Your profile:

  • You are enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters Degree programme with a recognized institution and can provide an internship agreement.

  • A basic understanding of financial markets and instruments is desirable.

  • Competent handling of MS Office applications.

  • Accuracy, flexibility, excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Team player with ability to work independently.

  • Customer focused, risk culture, pro-active with the ability to work under pressure with good organisation and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to adapt to a constant changing environment and situation.

  • Demonstrate initiative and look to continuously improve.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
